BUNYAN AL MARSOOS "بنیان المرصوص," an Arabic verse taken from the Quran, the holy book of Allah.

"The operation's name, which means "a structure firmly joined together," is inspired by SURAH AL-SAIF (61:4), which praises those who fight in Allah's fortified cause as a solid, concrete structure."

On May 10, 2025, Pakistan started Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos—a planned sequence of missile attacks intended at Indian military targets, signifying a move from deterrence to direct action. The chief of the Pak Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, offered Fajr prayers and recited Surah Al-Saif before the launch of the strategic operation, trusting in divine direction.

Dr. Israr Ahmad, the late Islamic expert, has previously commented on this Quranic passage during one of his lectures. He compared "Real Mujahideen" to "Bunyan un Marsoos"—men with iron wills and steel nerves, unified like bricks in a wall, and cherished by Allah for their diligence and dedication in Jihad. His interpretation lends spiritual meaning to Pakistan's selection of the operation's name.

What happened after this key mission

  • Their BrahMos storage site was wrecked.

  • S-400 battery neutralized.

  • Over 15 airbases were targeted.

  • Five Rafales were downed.

  • One Su-30MKI was destroyed.

  • One MiG-29 was lost.

  • The brigade headquarters were targeted and destroyed.

  • Squadron ldr. Shivangi Singh, India's first female Rafale pilot, has reportedly been arrested by Pakistan.

Some of the Indian military bases known to be targeted so far:

  • Udhampur airbase: The northern HQ of the Indian army is located in occupied Kashmir.

  • Pathankot Airbase: The central frontline airbase of Indian Air Force operations.

  • Drangyari artillery gun position: In Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Uri field: Uri, a field located in Kashmir (occupied), is a major Indian armed forces base that was attacked in 2016, in which 19 Indian soldiers were killed ahead of the war.

  • Nagrota: A storage site of the Brahmos site.

  • Beas: Located in the Punjab side of India, the storage site of Brahmos missiles.

  • Adampur air base: At this site, the Indian S-400 system was destroyed.

  • Bhuj air base: Located in the Kutch district of Indian Gujrat.

It went on to state that Pakistan had finally kept its pledge. "The entire world has seen Pakistan's response to the Indian aggression." Pakistan Zindabad!
