Clinical pharmacology (mechanism of action):

Works by enhancing skin hydration and reinforcing the skin's natural barrier function, which helps to retain moisture and protect against dryness.


Indications:

1.      Helps prevent and temporarily protect chafed, chapped, or cracked skin

2.      Helps protect from the drying effects of wind and cold weather.


Side effects:

1.      Skin Irritation: Some users may experience mild irritation, such as redness or itching, especially if they have sensitive skin or are allergic to any of the ingredients.

2.      Breakouts: In some cases, individuals with oily or acne-prone skin might experience breakouts or increased oiliness.

3.      Allergic Reactions: Rarely, users might experience severe allergic reactions, such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing. If these symptoms occur, discontinue use and seek medical attention.


Interactions:

No serious interactions have been reported.


Pregnancy:

The drug is not absorbed systemically following topical administration; use during pregnancy would not be expected to result in significant exposure to the fetus


Lactation:

The drug is not absorbed systemically following topical administration; exposure via breast milk would not be expected.


Precautions:

2.      Avoid Contact with Eyes: Avoid applying the lotion near the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
